The Therapeutic Goods Administration has issued a recall for dozens of cough medicines which may include a doubtlessly life-threatening ingredient known as pholcodine.
The recall follows one fatality and quite a few instances reported of anaphylactic shock when mixing the remedy with normal anaesthesia.
