DJ disappears after alarming post

A preferred and longtime radio DJ disappeared 4 days in the past after writing an alarming Instagram submit.

Jeffrey Vandergrift — referred to as JV on the San Francisco Bay space’s Wild 94.9 hit music station — was final seen at his house at round 10pm on Thursday, in line with a lacking individuals report that listed him as “at-risk”.

Vandergrift’s employer mentioned there was no traceable exercise on his cellphone or prices on his bank cards or financial institution accounts since he was reported lacking to the San Francisco Police Department, the New York Post reported.

“These updates are obviously incredibly worrisome, though we continue to hope and pray for better news,” the radio station wrote in an announcement posted to Instagram.

The 54-year-old morning present host notably edited the caption of the newest submit on his Instagram web page — which was from August 20 — across the time he disappeared.

“Thank you for a wonderful life-filed w joy, laughs, pain & struggle. It’s been a great journey,” he wrote within the edited caption.

“Your support & prayers meant the world.”

He posted the identical photograph of himself in a crimson Wild 94.9 shirt to Twitter on August 20 with the unique caption “It’s #NationalRadioDay.I know, who gives a fart!!? Been at 94 since 94. Wow, that’s a long time‼️ Super grateful for each of you who have been on this journey w me.”

Vandergrift is described as being a 6ft bald white man who weighs roughly 81kg. He has brown eyes and a number of other tattoos on his arms and one above his proper ear, police mentioned.

Wild 94.9 mentioned it’s working intently with police and Vandergrift’s spouse, Natasha Yi.

“We are continuing to work closely with JV’s wife Natasha as well as the police department,” the division said.

“JV is loved by everyone here at Wild 949 and iHeartMedia, and we know he is equally loved by his Bay Area listening family.”

Listeners tuned in Monday morning, in search of out updates.

“So incredibly difficult, it’s difficult for all of us obviously,” his co-host Graham mentioned on the air.
