A youngsters’ Jurassic-themed inflatable pool has been recalled over an elevated threat of drowning arising from a product labelling error.
The Dinosaur Play Centre, which incorporates a volcano slide, palm tree sprayer, waterfall, pool and 6 ‘colourful fun ballz’, was recalled by the ACCC’s Product Safety Australia (PSA) on Tuesday February 21.
PSA discovered the prehistoric play pool did not adjust to the three-metres warning legibility requirement, a compulsory customary for transportable swimming swimming pools.
“Inflatable pools without the correct safety warning labelling may be used incorrectly,” PSA stated in an announcement.
“There is an increased risk of drowning if the product is not used as intended.
“Consumers should stop using the pool immediately and return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
The blow up pool was offered between April 26, 2022 and November 27, 2022, nationally on-line and instore at All Brands, Amazon, BCF, Catch, Costco, Clark Rubber, KG Electronic, Klika, Mr Toys, Mitre 10 Sorrento, Multibrands, Pool Foam Rubber, Ram Express, SportsPower, Toys 4 All, Toymate and Big W.
