A camper who suffered a medical episode after getting misplaced in bushland in north-east Victoria has been rescued by a police helicopter.

The 49-year-old was grime bike driving with two associates yesterday whereas on a tenting journey in Cambarville when he bought misplaced close to Frenchmans Spur Track.

The Mitcham man spent hours driving round looking for his associates or their campsite earlier than he ran out of petrol, in line with police.
