Australian icon John Farnham is recovering “well” after present process emergency surgical procedure to take away a cancerous tumour from his mouth nearly six months in the past.
The 73-year-old was stated to be in good spirits as he hosted a trivia sport for his household over Christmas.
“The Christmas tradition of after Christmas lunch sitting outside while John hosts music trivia questions continued,” Watercooler Talent managing companion David Wilson instructed The Daily Telegraph.
“He was MC with the family all gathered around and we laughed as we were all tested on our musical knowledge.”
Speaking on the legend’s restoration, Wilson stated “It is a process, it is slow and steady as she goes. He is going well”.
The veteran pop rock singer was identified with most cancers in August 2022 and required a 12-hour operation to take away the tumour from his mouth. The marathon surgical procedure required 26 surgeons and noticed a part of his jaw eliminated.
A month after the elimination of the cancerous tumour, his spouse Jill confirmed it had been a hit.
“His medical team are very pleased with his progress over the past month,” Jill’s assertion learn.
“He was moved from ICU into a general ward a couple of weeks ago and that in itself was terrific progress.
“This week John has been transferred to a rehabilitation centre. Each of these steps are moving in the right direction and for that we are enormously thankful.”
