Two miners are lacking after an incident at an underground zinc mine close to Cloncurry, in far northwestern Queensland.
Emergency companies are en path to the Dugald River mine, operated by MMG Limited, after an incident on Wednesday morning.
The mine is 70km northwest of Cloncurry, and employs about 500 employees and contractors on a mixture of fly-in, fly-out and native residential foundation. The operation predominantly produces zinc focus, with by-products together with lead and silver, in accordance with its web site.
