Ruffo’s inspiring life advice as he battles terminal cancer

Much-loved West Aussie Johnny Ruffo has shared his greatest life recommendation as he battles a devastating terminal most cancers prognosis.

On an episode of Kicpod, hosted by health influencers Steph Claire Smith and Lauren Henshaw, the 34-year-old former Home and Away star opened up about his philosophy.

“Cherish life. Don’t sweat the small things and make sure the last conversation you have with people that you love is a good one,” Ruffo mentioned.

“Every time Tahnee (his long-term partner) and I leave one another… I always tell her I love her. You know I may have a seizure or something might happen and I just want her to know that the last thing she spoke to me about was that I loved her.

“Never leave a conversation on a bad note.”

Ruffo’s recommendation introduced a tear to Henshaw’s eyes, with the podcast hosts saying he has “such a beautiful outlook on life“.

The singer and actor has been battling cancer for five years revealing in August 2022, during an interview with Carrie Bickmore, that it was terminal.

Ruffo has previously opened up about his fears of death, saying he is scared his family won’t be able to be by his side.

“I’m scared for my brother, my mum, Dad and Tahnee that they won’t be here with me (when I die),” Ruffo mentioned final October.
