Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes is hoping Kai Sotto will have the ability to be part of the nationwide staff for the sixth and closing window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers slated this February.

“I know they’re talking, there are negotiations. We’ve made an offer. We’ve made a very good offer,” Reyes instructed reporters on Saturday.

After Sotto’s stint with the Adelaide 36ers within the National Basketball League in Australia, the massive man is about to deliver his expertise to the Japan B.League’s Hiroshima Dragonflies.
