Aust share market suffers worst week since September

Australian shares have completed decrease for the fourth session out of the previous 5, and this time their losses have been the week’s worst.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index completed Friday down 56.6 factors, or 0.76 per cent, to 7433.7, whereas the broader All Ordinaries dropped 64.7 factors, or 0.84 per cent, to 7,631.1.

Friday beat out Thursday because the index’s worst day in 5 weeks and the market snapped its five-week successful streak.

The ASX200 fell 1.65 per cent since final Friday, its worst weekly drop because the week of September 19-23.

The Australian greenback was shopping for 69.22 US cents, from 69.55 at Thursday’s ASX shut.
