Sky News host Amanda Stoker says Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s choice to overturn Clive Palmer’s plans to open a brand new mine in Queensland is a “significant decision” that can have big penalties.
“I hope that the Minister has given adequate consideration for all the ways those risks can be mitigated,” Ms Stoker instructed Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“The consequences for Australians of not investing in projects like these are huge.
“It costs jobs on the ground, it costs the availability of Australia’s energy security, … we shouldn’t be surprised when there’s a shortage of affordable, reliable energy.”
