Guy Sebastian’s neighbour has fronted courtroom after he allegedly threatened to kill the musician and kicked over his fence.
Phillip Richard Hanslow, 66, allegedly escalated the long-running feud between the neighbours when he confronted Mr Sebastian outdoors their Maroubra houses on January 23.
Police confirmed they had been referred to as to the realm about 1.30pm following reviews of a dispute between neighbours involving threats.
They charged Mr Hanslow with stalking with intent to trigger bodily hurt and damaging property.
Mr Sebastian sought an interim apprehended violence order towards his neighbour which was granted.
Under the phrases of the courtroom order, Mr Hanslow is prohibited from contacting the inaugural Australian Idol winner or getting into his property.
The 66-year-old can also be banned from possessing a firearm or unlawful weapon.
Police consider the demise threats had been the end result of six years of tensions between the neighbours, which started in 2016 when Mr Sebastian and his spouse Jules had been constructing their house.
The couple purchased their $3.1m house in Maroubra in 2013 and spent practically three years overhauling it to create their “fortress-like” home.
Mr Hanslow appeared in Waverley Local Court on Thursday dressed casually in a crimson collared T-shirt, darkish pants, and a wrist guard.
He represented himself in courtroom to ask for an adjournment to hunt authorized recommendation and to have a medical process finished.
The courtroom heard he can be having an contaminated bowel eliminated throughout a surgical procedure later this month.
Magistrate Ross Hudson agreed to adjourn the matter and the AVO till March 9 to permit Mr Hanslow to bear the medical process. “You must be in a position on 9 March to enter a plea,” he instructed the 66-year-old.
