Brisbane Bullets head coach Greg Vanderjagt says as soon as police investigations are full the NBL membership will internally examine an incident that left Harry Froling with a fractured cranium.
Froling is in a steady situation and stays in Brisbane hospital after a suspected punch to the top left him unconscious on a Wollongong avenue.
It occurred about 2am on Sunday after the Bullets’ defeat of the Hawks on Saturday.
Scans then reportedly confirmed a fractured cranium and bleed on the mind that required surgical procedure.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after turning himself in at Wollongong’s police station.
Vanderjagt says Froling and his household have the membership’s full assist and they’ll begin an inner investigation on the acceptable time.
“The club will conduct their own investigation when the time is right and put everything together and take the appropriate course of action in terms of how we manage the group and how we manage those situations on the road moving forward,” he advised reporters on Thursday.
“”It’s one thing that’s actual and we definitely do not sweep it beneath the desk and simply ignore it.
“But at this point in time there’s not too much else to say on that because it is a police matter.
“The police are conducting their investigation and we have to be respectful of that and likewise respectful of Harry and his household presently.”
