Ronaldo, 37, was dropped by boss Fernando Santos after sulking when substituted towards South Korea.

His substitute Goncalo Ramos proved to be a revelation, scoring a memorable hat-trick within the 6-1 win.

Ronaldo did come on for the ultimate 17 minutes, however this wasn’t sufficient to please Georgina.

Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old mannequin wrote: “Congratulations Portugal.

“While the 11 players sang the anthem all the goals placed on you.

“What a shame not to have been able to enjoy the best player in the world during the 90 minutes.

“The fans have not stopped claiming you and shouting your name.”

She then sarcastically referred to Santos’ relationship with Ronaldo, including: “I hope that God and your dear friend Fernando continue hand-in-hand and make us vibrate one more night.”

Portugal are subsequent in motion on Saturday, once they tackle Morocco within the quarter-finals.

Should they beat the conquerors of Spain, they’d meet the winner of England vs France within the semis.

Pundit Ian Wright nonetheless believes that Ronaldo may play a giant half for Portugal throughout the remainder of the match.

Appearing on ITV, he stated: “Ramos scored a hat trick and will take all the headlines and deservedly so. His first goal, it set the stall for the match.

“He scored a goal he wasn’t meant to score, he hit it so early and so well. That set them on the road.

“This is a team that could easily go all the way and Ronaldo can still really contribute. If he gets it all right in his head he could end up scoring the winning goal for them in the final.”

Ronaldo’s former teammate Gary Neville added: “It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo celebrated the first two goals like crazy, I have given him criticism for sulking but he wasn’t sulking.

“It looked on social media like he was sulking but he wasn’t.”

Also showing on ITV, fellow pundit Nigel De Jong opted to heap reward onto Ronaldo’s 21-year-old substitute Ramos.

The Dutchman stated: “I was really pleased to see it. A young kid coming into a game like this, it is a lot of pressure on his shoulders because he was replacing Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He is two footed, he can play with his left and his right foot. Portugal have a bright future with these guys up top.”
