Aged care worker, 56, charged with sexual assaults of elderly residents

A Perth aged care employee stays behind bars, accused of sexual crimes towards older residents.

Police allege father and husband Armand Lutula Wema, 56, from Nollamara, sexually abused three aged ladies.

The expenses relate to 2 Perth aged care properties between July 2022 and January 2023.

His alleged victims had been aged of their 70s to 90s, staying at care properties operated by Aegis and Ferndale in Perth’s northern and japanese suburbs

He has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault and one depend of aggravated sexual penetration with out consent.

Aegis, the place Wema was contracted as a carer, advised 9News it was aiding officers with their inquiries.

He is due again courtroom subsequent month.
