Wallabies participant Kurtley Beale has been arrested over an alleged sexual assault in Sydney’s east final 12 months.
Police allege a 28-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at pub on Beach Road in Bondi on December 17.
Officers within the Tweed/Byron District acquired a report following the incident, and detectives from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command then launched Strike Force Titheradge to research the allegation.
Mr Beale was arrested when police stopped his automotive on Rainbow Street, Kingsford, simply earlier than 2:30pm on Friday.
The 33-year-old was taken to Waverley Police Station and stays in custody, helping police with their inquiries.
Rugby Australia, the NSW Waratahs and the Rugby Union Players Association say they’re “aware of the situation involving Kurtley Beale”.
“As this is a police matter, and we understand there has been no charge made, we will be making no further comment at this time,” the joint assertion stated.
Mr Beale made his Wallabies debut in 2009 and has performed 95 Tests for Australia. He lately rejoined the Waratahs for the 2023 Super Rugby Season after a stint in France.
