The cheeky thoroughbreds took to the streets of Surfers Paradise for about 20 minutes as onlookers watched on.
At least 10 individuals tried to seize the horses, which travelled about 10 kilometres up the Gold Coast Highway.
No one was injured and the horses have been shortly retrieved.
Hundreds of individuals gathered on Surfers Paradise seaside this morning to look at the barrier draw unfold.
