A big tree exterior the California State Capitol in Sacramento was knocked down because the National Weather Service (NWS) reported “damaging winds” within the area on Sunday, January 8. This footage posted to Twitter by Mario Limaduran (@ChefMario) reveals a toppled tree obscuring a part of a roadway. “Sacramento, the city of trees, got a second bad unwanted hair (tree) cut last night,” he captioned the footage. Limaduran informed Storyful that there have been a number of “massive” timber downed within the space. A flood advisory was issued for components of Sacramento for Monday, with evacuations ordered in some areas. At least 12 individuals have died in a sequence of highly effective atmospheric river storms which have pummeled California since December 31, in response to stories.
