A driver has died after a horrific crash at a Queensland race meet.
Sam Fenech is being remembered after his automobile flipped throughout a drag race at Willowbank Raceway round 7pm AEST on Saturday in entrance of a shocked crowd.
“I am still shaking from what I have just witnessed,” one fan wrote on Facebook of the incident at New Year Nitro Blasts.
In video posted to social media, the automobile is seen flying via the air earlier than it hits a digicam tower by the observe, killing Fenech and leaving a digicam operator in hospital.

“Drag Racing Lost a beautiful man and a credit score to group ACDelco Slammer Drag Racing Team,” one person wrote in a tribute on Facebook, alongside one of the final photos taken of Fenech, earlier on Saturday.
“Life is so bloody Short, hug your loved ones further tight tonight.
“To your Family, Maurice and Crew, we are so sorry. Nothing said could ever heal the pain you are going through but we all stand behind you.”
