Comelec to decide on disqualified Cagayan gov Mamba’s appeal soon — Garcia

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc will quickly determine on the movement for reconsideration filed by disqualified Cagayan governor Manuel Mamba because the attraction had already been raffled off to one of many commissioners, Comelec Chairman George Garcia stated Friday.

(Based on the Comelec data, the respondent, Governor Mamba, had already filed a movement for reconsideration final December and it was already raffled off to the ponente or the commissioner who will write the choice on the attraction. The public can anticipate that within the subsequent few days, the Comelec will determine on the movement for reconsideration and decide the ultimate determination of the fee on this matter.)

Last December 14, the Comelec Second Division launched a decision disqualifying Mamba from the 2022 gubernatorial race in Cagayan for allegedly violating the election spending ban.

The decision was signed by Presiding Commissioner Marlon Casquejo and Commissioners Rey Bulay and Nelson Celis.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
