Brawl between two boys prompts calls for crackdown on youth violence

A “sickening” brawl between two kids has prompted requires a crackdown on youth violence in a single South Australian neighborhood.

Footage obtained by 9News reveals two younger boys, considered no older than seven, concerned in a road battle as a pack of youngsters watched on in Port Augusta on Monday night time.

The incident moved down the road in entrance of Garnett Brady’s residence at 11.30pm.

“It was sickening, it was actually sickening to watch,” Brady mentioned.

“I’ve got a couple of little kids myself, roughly about the same age.

“I simply thought, , ‘that would have been our youngsters on the market doing that’.”

9News understands some of the teenagers filmed the fight on their phones.

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas said it “just isn’t okay” for people to use mobile phones to record inappropriate behaviour.

“Actively encouraging inappropriate behaviour, significantly acts of violence amongst younger individuals, that isn’t okay,” Malinauskas said.

Residents consider youth violence within the space is much too widespread and extra must be carried out.
