England cricket’s managing director Rob Key says Jofra Archer is not going to play Test matches over the summer season however he is hopeful the tempo ace shall be prepared for June’s T20 World Cup.

Key is also hopeful the fast bowler can be involved in the T20 series against Pakistan in May.
“Jofra has been out with Sussex in India for pre-season and bowled rapidly on the market, he bowled rather well,” Key added.
“He has now gone again to the Caribbean the place he’ll play a little bit of membership cricket, all about getting himself prepared for that T20 World Cup.
“He’ll hopefully play the Pakistan series, but it’s always fingers-crossed at the moment with Jofra.
“What we will do is take it slower relatively than attempting to go too rapidly in order that we get him again for not only a brief interval however we get him for an extended interval.”
