Australians are spending extra time searching for financial savings, substituting recent meals with frozen and chopping again on non-essential gadgets to cut back grocery payments.
Others are skipping meals or sacrificing meals to feed their kids.
More than 13,000 folks have accomplished the patron survey, which is a part of the ACCC’s grocery store inquiry.
The inquiry is inspecting grocery store pricing practices and the connection between wholesale, together with farmgate, and retail costs.
“A clear theme in the survey responses so far is that consumers consider the price of groceries to be a major factor in the cost-of-living crisis,” ACCC Deputy Chair Mick Keogh mentioned.
“Grocery shopping is essential in everyone’s life and we strongly encourage Australians to share their experiences with us via our online survey.”
The ACCC is urging extra Australians, particularly adults beneath the age of 30 for whom English isn’t their first language and rural residents, to finish the survey.
