Freezing Rain Coats Snowbound Juneau in Ice

Snow transitioned to freezing rain within the Juneau space of Alaska on Wednesday, January 24, after a winter storm left over two ft of snow on the native National Weather Service (NWS) workplace. Video from the NWS’s Juneau outpost reveals rain falling on snowy Juneau within the early hours of Wednesday. The rain was inflicting a “nice coating of freezing ice on our vehicles,” the NWS staffer says within the video, declaring a frozen window on a automobile. Up to at least one inch of extra snow may accumulate in components of southeast Alaska on Wednesday morning, the climate service stated. Credit: NWS Juneau through Storyful
