The rain couldn’t maintain again the glitzy, glamorous, liberated vogue at certainly one of Australia’s hottest LGBTQI+ festivals.
Melbourne’s Summer Camp Festival, held on the St Kilda Marina on Saturday, revealed a rainbow spectacle of pinks, sparkly attire and loads of flesh.
The pageant web site says the camp counsellors are “DJs, the leaders are in drag and a little bit of sparkle is part of the uniform” and the proud individuals who rocked up didn’t disappoint.
Lou and Bree arrived with putting leopard print themes, whereas Michelle arrived with a pep in her step and a surprising tight sparkly costume.
Azaezal and Elliott got here in stark black with leather-based belts and zippers.
Bright pink was maybe the central theme of the day, with a number of patrons sporting joyful, pinky seems to be, together with Brady with a surprising, pink cowboy hat and a pink, purple and yellow tennis jacket to match.
Amber and Robyn, in the meantime, sported quick attire and pink tops, their arms round one another and brilliant smiles on each.
Cleo Taurus regarded fully glamorous, with an imposing puff of luscious purple hair and complicated glam make-up shading her eyes and brow.
Jude and Josh introduced a outstanding look, with Jude in tight, fluorescent jogging pants and headband and Josh in a shiny singlet, earings dangling and tight bike pants.
The pageant kicked off at 2pm to cloudy, wet climate, with the temperature pegged at a chill 15 levels.
But the style flare and musical acts introduced some warmth to the day.
Jessie Ware, Trixie Mattel, Brooke Candy, DJ Gay Dad and Disco Daddies have been all scheduled to carry out.
Summer Camp can even maintain a pageant in Sydney on Sunday.
