The National Privacy Commission (NPC) ordered telecommunication firms to make sure “secure” dealing with of knowledge in mild of the implementation of the SIM Card Registration Act.

Naga stated the fee will coordinate with the telcos for correct implementation of the regulation.
“The commission maintains that protecting citizens’ privacy and ensuring that data privacy rights of mobile users are upheld as one of the cornerstones for the successful implementation of SIM Card Registration,” he stated.
“The fee will proceed to carefully coordinate with Telcos and different stakeholders for the correct implementation of the regulation,” he added.
