An emotional Joe Jonas has instructed followers to not consider rumours about his divorce from Sophie Turner as he teared up on stage at a US live performance.
Jonas is on the US leg of the Jonas Brothers world tour with siblings Kevin and Nick and whereas on stage for the live performance in Los Angeles, the 34-year-old addressed his divorce with Turner.
“I just wanna say, look — if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. OK?”
The Camp Rock star added, “Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys.”
Jonas then launched into the band’s tune Hesitate, which he famously devoted to Turner, 27, prior to now.
Video footage from followers near the stage on the LA gig confirmed the singer glassy-eyed and at one stage appeared to wipe a forming tear from his proper eye.
The message to followers comes after Jonas and Turner launched a joint assertion on Instagram asserting the couple had determined to finish issues after 4 years of marriage.
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually agreed to end our marriage amicably,” the assertion stated.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but this is a united decision. We sincerely hope everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Jonas formally filed for divorce from Turner on Tuesday in a Miami-Dade courtroom, with paperwork stating that their relationship is “irretrievably broken”.
They tied the knot in 2019 in back-to-back weddings in Las Vegas and Paris.
It comes after an in depth pal of Turner’s instructed MailOnline that she felt trapped in her marriage and regretted “missing out” on her youthful years after settling down and having two kids at a younger age.
Another pal revealed that the couple started having issues final Christmas and that she separated from him at the beginning of this summer season, spending the next months partying with college pals within the UK or holidaying with them in Europe.
