Accidental decarbonisation: Ontario’s unexpected shift in energy grid

Canadians for Nuclear Energy President Chris Keefer says Ontario’s lack of coal reserves led the province to develop nuclear vitality as a less expensive and sustainable possibility.

“We ended up commissioning 22 reactors in just 22 years and accidentally decarbonized our electricity grid.,” Dr Keefer advised Sky News host Chris Kenny

“So it’s interesting that a power source can help grow an economy and accidentally decarbonize.

“I believe that exhibits you one thing about how cost-effective it may be.”
