A 78-year-old Vietnam struggle veteran being downgraded from Business Class to Economy on Qantas so an airline worker might sit in his seat is “appalling stuff,” in line with The Australian’s Sophie Elsworth.
Stephen Jones – a Vietnam struggle veteran – and his spouse have been travelling from Christchurch to Adelaide with a stopover in Melbourne when Mr Jones stated he was advised to surrender his seat for an airline worker in the course of the second leg of the journey.
“Qantas … don’t relate to the Australian public, they just seem to have disaster after disaster after disaster – they’re too busy virtue signalling,” Ms Elsworth advised Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“It’s just always a disaster with them.”
