Cornes was late onto the desk of the present after receiving a nightmare textual content message in the midst of the night time.

His early morning flight from Adelaide to Melbourne had been cancelled with the airline placing him on a flight later within the morning.

The transfer left Cornes seething and after taking his place on the desk he unloaded on the airline and Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.

“I’m so sorry, this is so unprofessional,” Cornes stated as he appeared on digicam.

“I’ve got sleep in my eyes, no make up on. Bloody Qantas. You should never fly with them, I’m always a Virgin person TJ.

“Richard Branson and the crew always look after me. I didn’t have to come across last night so I thought I’d stay in Adelaide.

“I got a text at 1:39am ‘we’ve cancelled your flight and put you on a 10am flight which will land at 12pm’.

“So I text the bosses at Nine just expecting them to say don’t worry about it, stay in bed it’s Fathers Day … Lloydo has had one off, TJ you missed four weeks.

“But no, needed to get here. Didn’t even have time to put my sponsors top on.”

After being pressed for his ideas on the airline by Tony Jones, Cornes went after Joyce and his current pay bump.

“Shocking. I saw the CEO got 10 million in shares during the week and he cannot even get the first flight out at six o’clock. Can’t even get that out on time. Disgraceful.”

The airline has come underneath heavy fireplace in current days with opposition chief Peter Dutton saying the corporate has “tarnished its brand”.

His remarks come within the wake of allegations the airline bought tickets on 8000 flights it had already cancelled.

Speaking on Sky News on Sunday morning, Mr Dutton stated he, “like many Australians”, is “disappointed” with alleged manner Qantas has been treating prospects, including there was a “level of arrogance” to how the airline has carried out itself.

“There have been a lot of customers who I think have made legitimate complaints over the course of the last few days about their interactions with Qantas, the ability to get refunds for tickets purchased, and the ACCC obviously supports an investigation,” he instructed the community.

“I think Alan Joyce has been a very effective CEO of policies, he has a personal relationship with Anthony Albanese and obviously, this is a relationship that works two ways.”
