Crystal Jasperson was using by way of a roundabout at Berserker St and Kerrigan St in Rockhampton when the 39-year-old and the motive force of a Toyota LandCruiser collided.

Ms Jasperson was placed on crutches and suffered cuts and bruises on account of the accident, with lingering ache to her neck and hip.

“The last thing I saw was a big black bulbar, and I just thought ‘this isn’t going to be good’,” Ms Jasperson mentioned.

“As soon as I felt the impact my mind went straight to my kids. In that moment, I was terrified they were about to lose their mum, which is a horrible thing to have to keep grappling with.”

Shine Lawyers Rockhampton solicitor Jeri Murray mentioned the “confronting” crash was captured by a house safety digicam.

“Watching the footage, it’s plain to see this could have had an incredibly tragic outcome,” Ms Murray mentioned.

She’s (Ms Jasperson) struggling to work because of the pain, and it makes it so much harder to take care of her kids.”

Ms Murray mentioned Ms Jasperson had since logged a declare for compensation, as her household confronted monetary burden.

“Crystal’s got a long road ahead to fully recover both physically and mentally from this crash,” Ms Murray mentioned.

“We’ll look to ensure she can concentrate on getting better rather than worrying about how she’s going to provide for her kids.”

Shine Lawyers mentioned police didn’t take any additional motion following the crash and the motive force had not been charged.
