Erik Spoelstra is again within the Philippines!
The Filipino-American Miami Heat head coach was a part of Team USA’s delegation that arrived on Tuesday morning for the 2023 FIBA World Cup set to be hosted by the Philippines from August 25 to September 3.
The longtime NBA mentor Spoelstra, who was born to an American father and a Filipina mom, will function one among USA’s assistant coaches alongside Los Angeles Clippers’ Tyronn Lue and Gonzaga University’s Mark Few. They will give Golden State Warriors and Team USA head coach Steve Kerr help as they give the impression of being to hoist the Naismith Trophy as soon as extra.
Aside from World Cup motion, Spoelstra will even participate in some actions within the nation.
On Wednesday, he’ll lead an elite basketball clinic with 40 Filipino girls and boys from the highschool and faculty ranks throughout Metro Manila.
