Bright trails of sunshine streaked throughout the evening sky within the Northern Hemisphere because the annual Perseid meteor bathe peaked early on Sunday, August 13.
With solely a sliver of moon within the sky, the circumstances had been ultimate for seeing a number of meteors.
The Perseids — one of many greatest meteor showers seen from Earth — happen yearly in July and August.
They are largely solely seen within the Northern Hemisphere, significantly in America, Europe and elements of Asia.
