Auditions open for Nicholas Cage surfing movie in WA’s south

Rumours have swirled with talks of a brand new browsing film starring Nicholas Cage that can quickly be filmed in WA’s southwest, with native actors “pumped” on the alternative to audition for a task.

Three and a half hours south of Perth is WA’s well-known browsing areas Yallingup and Margaret River, set to be the scenic backdrop of the brand new movie The Surfer.

A neighborhood casting company despatched out a name to highschool college students to audition for roles and an opportunity to behave alongside American actor Cage.

The call-out stated teenage boys would play as younger surfers who frolicked with a surf gang.

“We are looking for kids who are really confident with a bit of ‘attitude’… we see them riding their BMXs delivering beer and generally causing trouble around the town,” the call-out stated.

Margaret River Senior High School drama trainer Amy Johnstone stated her college students have been excited by the chance.

“As soon as we found out, we put it out in the school notices, and we had a stack of boys lining up at our office door by recess, these guys are pumped to be in a movie,” she stated.

Ms Johnstone stated she would assist the boys to arrange for his or her auditions.

“We will be holding lunchtime sessions where we can help give them some tips on audition techniques, how to present and maybe little monologues,” she stated.

“Some of these boys who have put their hand up are not necessarily drama kids. It’s really awesome to see the different range of ages and kind of guys that are interested in doing it.”

The film’s manufacturing firm Arenamedia has stated they’re unable to verify any particulars at this stage.
