Sandra Bullock has been praised for the “amazing” care she gave her long-term associate, who has died at 57 after a three-year battle with a uncommon neurological illness.
The actress, 59, taken care of photographer Bryan Randall in his last months following his prognosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a type of motor neurone illness.
In a 2021 interview Ms Bullock, who has two adopted youngsters whom she raised with Randall, described her associate of eight years because the “love of my life”, saying he was “very patient” and “a saint”.
And it has been revealed the actress, who gained an Oscar for The Blind Side in 2010, returned such persistence as she cared for Randall at house throughout his secret sickness alongside “a band of nurses”.
Ms Bullock’s sister Gesine Bullock-Prado, a pastry chef, wrote on Instagram: “ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home”.
She stated of Randall, a eager fisherman: “I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teeming with salmon.”
Former mannequin Randall, who selected to maintain his sickness non-public, met Ms Bullock in 2015 when the actress employed him to {photograph} her son Louis’ celebration.
